broke down and purchased a company website for 6 months. I wasn't sure if I wanted it or not but I'll give it a try and if after 6 months there's not much going on with it I'll cancel. I know I'm now included in the search for a new consultant so that's a plus in my book.

It's Official
I am finally a Qualified Kitchen Consultant... I am so happy that I finally made it but unfortunately it wasn't in my 90 days so I didn't receive my FREE 3 month website but I can now offer Bridal registries. I'm so excited about this option because I have A LOT of friends that are getting married in the next year so I'll be sure to hit them up for their business. We have a lot of great kitchen tools to help you make a great dinner and I also have great recipes to save you time and money.
I have been networking with a lot of great gals from other direct sales companies and we meet once a week to share tips on recruiting, sales, bookings and other aspects of the business so that has helped a lot. We even talked about doing a Trade-A-Lead type of meeting where we each bring a list of customers who have given us permission to share their information with other consultants/representatives with other companies to possibly generate more sales for each other. In turn the consultant/rep who gave us that name will receive a free product (consultant choice) for sharing that lead. I'm not too sure about this but if some of my customers agree and give me permission, I may just give it a try.
I have a lot of work to do today - I'm updating my mailing list, sending out the new catalogs, host coaching 3 hostesses and hopefully getting another booking on the books for September.
If you would like to get onto my mailing list please just send me an email and I will get you added as soon as possible. I only send out 1 email a month unless the company has any announcements but I can promise you will not receive an email from me more than twice (2) in any given month.

My First "REAL" Kitchen Show
I had my first real kitchen show this past Friday night and it turned out great. We closed her show last night and I collected all the orders and input the information into my consultant program and her sales were...drum roll please...$501.00! She received $90 in Free products, 2 half-priced items and 25% off her entire order for that party. She didn't purchase anything besides what she earned but her goal was $90 FREE. All that just for doing a drink demo. We also made 2 recipes before guests arrived and they loved them. I booked one party for July 18th.

12 More Days
until my first actual kitchen party at someone other than a family members' house. I'm so nervous as they want 2 recipes both prepared and ready to serve by the time their guests arrive. I'll have to write down everything I want to include in my little demo. I'm thinking of surprising the hostess with our Triple-Citrus Mojitos. Since she wants all food recipes done before hand, I really don't get the chance to demo any of our products so at least with the Mojitos, I can demo 8 of our products including our awesome Ultimate Mandoline.
If you haven't tried our Ultimate Mandoline, you don't know what you've been missing. I have used mine just about everyday since getting my consultant kit. I love it that much!! I have sliced lemons for our Mini Glazed Lemon Cakes, potatoes for Scalloped Potatoes - this slices the potatoes so thin, they are done in no time, grated Swiss cheese for quiche tarts, I've even crinkle-cut some cucumber for a salad. This kitchen tool is a must have for anyone that loves to cook or would like to learn how to cook.

Some Great Kitchen Tips From My April Newsletter
I just wanted to share some quick tips with everyone when it comes to the kitchen, shopping and cooking:
Until We Cook Again!
- When picking bell peppers pick those up an look at the bottom also. Count the bumps. 4 bumps means it is a sweet pepper - better for summer type recipes - salads, dipping, shish-ka-bobs. Odd number of bumps (3, 5, etc) means it will not be sweet - it will have a bolder flavor that can stand up better in soups and stews - winter type recipes. Also if you aren't' going to use the entire pepper in a recipe don't cut the stem and seeds out - leave them attached and the pepper will "seal" itself off and stay fresh much longer.
- Remember that one clove of garlic is one piece; a bulb is made of lots of cloves....if you use a whole bulb when a recipe calls for a clove; you're either going out to dinner or keeping the vampires away!
- If you add an apple to your bag of potatoes once you get home from the grocery store, it will keep your potatoes from sprouting.

Super Duper Recipe
If you've ever been to a kitchen show...you know that you will be sampling some very good recipes!
Well, I was experimenting with some of the recipes that I received in my consultant kit and this past Monday tried the Deluxe Cheeseburger Salad...let me say, I'm not the biggest fan of tomatoes but this dish was actually delicious. For it being a salad, I didn't hear any "I'm still hungry" as the night went on. I'm going to keep experimenting until I find the ones that I will be featuring in my cooking shows over the next two months. I'll only be featuring 3 recipes in each month and the hostess/host will have to choose one that she/he will want to do at their show. I know I won't be doing the salad as this takes quite a while to make but for all the work it was delicious!!!!
